Undivided Heart

SCRIPTURE:
Ezekiel 11:19-20 "I will give them an undivided heart and put a new Spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God."

OBSERVATION:
It's obvious that God's judgments on His people (in these passages) are severe. They've perverted their relationship with God by not following His decrees and laws. They've "conformed to the standards of the nations around them" (11:12). God even, at one point, asks Ezekiel to consider this: "Is all this they are doing a trivial matter?" God's judgments are severe for those who have had the opportunities and turned away from Him. But His promises are sweet for His people. The people who are truly His.

APPLICATION:
I want to regularly make sure my heart is completely His: moldable & obedient. God is enough.

PRAYER:
God. Forgive me for my divided heart. Give me an undivided heart, a new Spirit and a heart of flesh. I want your heart.
